Biography:

Dr. Helen Clark received her B.S. in Pre-Medicine through Clemson University, SC in 1973 then went on to receive her M.Ed in Rehabilitation Counseling - Behavioral Health at USC. In 1998, Dr. Clark received her Ph.D. in Counseling; Dissertation: Social Support and Attachment Style in Sexually Abused and Non-Abused Females Seeking Mental Health Services, from USC.

Dr. Clark worked for S.C. Department of Mental Health from 1974 to 1989. She supervised and directed clinical programs for Child/Adolescent/Family Services and Addiction Services. Provided services to individuals and families as well as supervised a clinical staff. She then went on to work for The Department of Corrections from 1989 to 1995, at both the state and federal level. Dr. Clark provided direct clinical services (to include addiction services) to incarcerated males, developed a sexual offender program, as well as supervised and directed other clinical programs within the facility.

Since 1995, Dr. Clark has owned her Private Practice, Providing treatment to children, adolescents and adults using individual, group, marriage and family therapy.Her specialties include: marriage and family therapy, sexual abuse treatment (children/adolescents/adult victims and sexual offenders) and substance abuse treatment.
